Just so everyone is aware, there are a few XboX drive types out there. Here is a picture to determine which one you may have. This picture gives you a basic idea, however there are also 4 types of Liteon Drives.

Here is an excellent website for determining your drive type, or just knowing what you are getting before you buy an XboX.

Liteon Drives (74850, 83850V1, 83850V2, 93450) The Bold one is quite easy, the rest will require:

Xecuter LT Switch modtraders.co.ukck3.co.ukmrmodchips.commodchip.ca

Xecuter CK3 Pro (Rev D) modtraders.co.ukck3.co.ukmrmodchips.commodchip.ca

Xecuter LT Guide

For the 74850 Drive I have just been using the Maximus 360 USB Xtractor.

Hope this information helps.

Rock Band for the IPhone

Seriously? If it’s not bad enough that it already ruins parties and causes people to play fake instruments…..it’s not taking over while you are on the go. Yes, the IPhone now has Rock Band and supports multiplayer.

Enjoy!

Jailbreak for 3GS to 3.1FW

Thank you Dev Team!

All aboard the update train!
Here are some details on our latest version of PwnageTool for Mac OS X that adds support for the 3.1 release of the iPhone software for iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 2G.

SUMMARY:

The iPhone 3GS is now supported in PwnageTool 3.1.3, assuming the phone was pwned at 3.0 or 3.0.1 – PwnageTool does not support the 3GS out of the box. If your iPhone 3GS has 3.1 preinstalled and is not Pwned then there is no tested jailbreak solution at the moment.

The iPod 2G is now supported in PwnageTool 3.1.3, assuming the iPod 2G was pwned at 3.0 or 3.0.1 – PwnageTool does not support the iPod 2G with 3.1 software out of the box.

DETAILS:

GOLDEN RULE: If you are using a iPhone 3G or iPhone 3G(S) with ultrasn0w and rely on ultrasn0w to obtain cellular service then you should only update your device with an .ipsw that is made with the new PwnageTool. There are no second chances with this. You need to remember that PwnageTool will provide an upgrade path to newer versions of the iPhone software in the future.
Please read all parts of this post before downloading and using these tools.
Read items 1, 2 and 3 again and again.
At the bottom of this post are the bittorrent files for the 3.1 capable version of PwnageTool.
PwnageTool will work for the iPhone 3GS assuming you have already Pwned it at 3.0 or 3.0.1
PwnageTool will work for the iPod touch 2G assuming you have already Pwned it at 3.0 or 3.0.1
PwnageTool WILL work for Original iPhone (1st Generation), the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3G(S) and the iPod touch (1st Generation and 2nd Generation) but NOT the iPod touch 3rd generation.
For 3G and 3G(S) users who are Pwned, PwnageTool is your key to updating in the future, just remember to never install an update directly from Apple, always use an .ipsw that has been created with PwnageTool.
There is no Windows version of PwnageTool it is a Mac OS X tool only

Dropbox makes it to the IPhone!

WhatsApp tries to be a replacement for Blackberry Messenger, but for the IPhone (It’s cool, it’s 99 cents, GET IT!).

CoPilot Live becomes a decent cheap GPS App.

Kutano becomes the first Google Sidewiki App (No toolbar needed).

Twitter for the IPhone

So I am still awaiting a Twitter App for the IPhone that actually makes me want to use Twitter. There are so many out there and I need about 2 of them installed to have all the features I want. I have tried a few and I have for now decided on Echofon for the clean interface (although lacking a few features).

Echofon seems to be missing:

- Full size Profile picture viewing
- Profile map links

Other than the above it’s a really solid Twitter App with awesome Push Support, Sync support for Firefox Plugin and soon OSX support.

Other Twitter Apps I have tried:

Echofon
Simply Tweet
Tweetie
Twitterrific Premium
Twitbirds Pro
Twitterena+ Pro
Twittelator Pro

Edit systemversion.plist and change the line with the fw version to whatever you want. Reboot IPhone.
You can do this with SSH access or IFile on a jailbroken phone.

So we had quite the storm today, wind was a little crazy. I stood up seconds after Stacey mentioned the Tree in our parking lot was not going to make it through the storm. Sure enough, I watched it come crashing down on the neighbours truck. Here are some pictures and the article that was put on Kelowna.com
